We are pleased to announce that Jessica (Roberts) Carey has been officially approved and hired as part of the Avon Lake coaching staff for next season. Jessica comes to us with an impressive list of credentials. She played her high school soccer at Strongsville High where she played on a State Championship team in 2002 and reached the finals again in 2003 where Strongsville ended up as State Runners-up. Along the way she collected numerous awards for her play in the midfield including being named the first High School All American in Strongsville girls soccer history. During her senior year of 2003, she was also named All-Region, All-State - 1st team, All-Greater Cleveland Player of the Year and also was a 1st team selection, and was the MVP of the old Pioneer Conference. WOW!!!

After graduation, she attended The Ohio State University where she played on the Varsity for two seasons and was named Academic All-Big 10 and received the OSU Scholar Athlete award.

Jessica currently serves as the Intervention Specialist at Troy Intermediate school. We are very excited about the knowledge that Jessica can bring to our program and also the positive role model she will be for the girls.
